ran the painters half marathon. i felt like i had a good race overall. i wanted to run an even paced race as much as possible. splits were as follows.

1 6:13

2 6:22

3 6:05

4 6:17

5 6:26

6 6:09

7 6:20

8 6:33

9 6:28

10 6:20

11 6:59 had to battle through a side ache on this mile

12 6:32

12.93 5:53

only regret is that i didn't push it harder the last few miles. when i crossed the finish i was hardly breathing. after reading Dave Holts race report and how exhausted he was at the end i figure i just don't have a high enough pain threshold.

congrats to all the bloggers on their races. i was talking to the SGM race directer at the race, he is a family friend. i pointed out all the blue and explained that it was the fast running bloggers racing team as well as the SG running club. there was definately a good showing at the race.

So you were the guy I could see ahead of me a ways on the last mile or 2 but couldn't quite seem to catch. You really sped up that last mile.

Nice race today. Like you I feel like I wasn't breathing very heavy at the end and could have pushed harder. But there is always another race and chance to push a little harder next time.

Good race Ryan, boy I am glad the course was a little short or you might have had enough left to get me.

Good seeing you again newman. Good solid run. Keep building through the winter/spring. Even if you're not sure about that sub 3:00, I know it could easily go donw!
