finally got out for a good run. left knee was a little puffy and sore yesterday. old age and work i guess. knee felt pretty good today. first half of run was about 6:30 pace. then slowed down the second half. left thigh muscle felt weird after the run, probably related to the knee.

I hope to see you on Saturday. I think this is going to be your year to hit that Boston Qualifier in fact I know you can do it. You've got the speed, just run by feel that first half then bring it home the second half.

I believe they are going to have the clif pacers here this year and I ran with the 3:10 group in 2004, it was lots of fun and I got my Boston qualifier in 3:07 and felt pretty good the whole way, I would recommend running with them if your looking for that pace. If you want to run a little faster Steve Hooper and I are planning on going out around 1:20 to 1:21 range for the half. Last year I hit 1:23, so other guys that are staying with me Friday night are looking to hit 1:16-1:18 for the first half, but I don't think I'm going to go out that fast. I know Bill Campbell is hoping to run around 2:55 range. His PR is 3:00, so I know he'll be looking for some company as well.

Do it! Quit downplaying yourself. You can totally break 3!
